TERM 1

1st half term dates = September 13th, September 20th, September 27th,October 4th,October 11th

DRAWING;- Working through 5 different drawing still life workshops working an interesting mix of

mediums including charcoal, pastels, pen and wash, watercolour, pencil shading and coffee!!!!

 

2nd half term dates = November 8th,November 15th, November 22nd,November 29th, December 6th

WATERCOLOUR;- Concentrating on Skies and Seas, developing watercolour skills in Wet in wet, washes, colour mixing, colour theory and the colour wheel referencing a number of inspirational artists.

 

TERM 2

1st half term dates = January 17th, January 24th January 31st, February 7th February 14th

PERSPECTIVE:- Concentrating on buildings and architecture, taking part in some perspective exercises and ending with an Acrylic painting using texture, palette knives and other experimental tools.

 

2nd half term dates = March 7th, March 14th March 21st, March 28th, April 4th

MIXED MEDIA:- Boats and harbour scenes are the topic, beginning with drawing and following a mixed media course inspired by the work of Ann Blockley. Lots of new and exciting techniques to develop a wider skill set.

 

TERM 3

1st half term dates = April 25th, May 2nd, May 9th, May 16th,May 23rd

LANDSCAPES:- studying composition, and landscape perspective and depth. Working “en plein air” using mixed media painting products, pastel, watercolour, pen and ink.

 

2nd half term dates= June 6th, June 13th, June 20th, June 27th, July 4th

PORTRAITURE:- Drawing form photographs and from visiting sitters using a variety of medium to include charcoal and pastels and finally watercolour using a variety of artists for inspiration.

Covering all aspects of art and design Fiona will take the students through the different forms of art while encouraging thier own creativity

Fiona Payne teaches drawing workshops to people of all ages throughout the local area. her workshops have been delivered to schools, College students as well as many adults at seminars, classes and demonstrations.

The Workshops

A comprehensive art course made up of 5 workshops per half term spanning 3 terms, aiming to prepare children from the age of 8 upwards for art in their future whether it be for GCSE/A Level or just for enjoyment, relaxation and fun! Learning terminology, skills and new techniques including brief art history and plenty of fun!!!
